Digital Media Portfolio
Welcome to the Mobile Development age of my online Digital Media Portfolio. A brief gave us three different suggestions for what our app could be. These were; a UWE Freshers Guide, Event app or a simple game. After looking at my options and seeing the examples that Dan had shown us, I decided to make an app for a local event near where I used live.

I had a look on the Apple App Store and Google Play store to make sure that there wasn't an app for the event already available. I had been worrying about this because if there was an app for it already, then I wouldn't have been able to use this event.

The events that I have chosen is called Boardmasters. Boardmasters is a combination of live music and surfing/skateboarding competitions in and around the town of Newquay. The Festival of the heritage that goes back to 1981 and with the current capacity over 30,000, it's one of the U.K.'s biggest music festivals.

My app contains seven different pages; the homepage, lineup page, map page, information page, tickets page, competition page and the navigation page. All of these pages contain the relevant information to the festival, but some of the information is out of date as it is from last year's festival. This is because they haven't updated the information yet, like the lineup for example.

I have tested my app on multiple products, including some Android products but mainly on Apple iPads and on different Apple iPhone generations as screen size is different.

Here are some screenshots of my board masters app in action. I will also include the QR code if you wish to download it and use it yourself on the AppFurnace player.
